Nuclos 5 is the platform for individual ERP: business processes come first, not prepackaged module bundles. Unlike standard ERPs with AI bolted on afterward, Nuclos supports modeling and configuration from the start. AI operates within development tooling, not with uncontrolled access to live transaction data.

Low-code as a building block

The low-code layer models processes, the data model, workflows, and screens visually. Core business logic can be adapted without turning every feature into a classic major project. Metadata and configuration stay maintainable and documentable.

Open source and data sovereignty

Nuclos is licensed under AGPL: full source access, no per-user licenses, no module lock-in. Exit options stay open. Code and data belong to the customer, and maintenance can be handled by third parties or partners.

AI in modeling and development

AI in Nuclos 5 supports modeling, rule creation, and documentation through Nuclos MCP. It is not a runtime chatbot with uncontrolled access to inventory or order data in production.

MCP connects AI agents and IDEs to configuration functions: the data model, rules, deployment artifacts. It is about building and evolving the ERP, not chat access to operational transactions. Details: MCP in development.

Operations: cloud and on-premise

Both operating models are available: managed hosting in Germany (GDPR-compliant) or on-premise on your own infrastructure. Same platform, different operating model. Cloud fits a fast start with minimal server overhead. On-premise fits when local data hosting or industry rules require it.
