Dr. Höhn GmbH in Ingelfingen manufactures hardtops and load bed covers for pick-up trucks and commercial vehicles under the Road Ranger brand. The product range includes bills of materials with well over 1,000 variants per article, combining options across vehicle models, materials, and accessories. A previous system was error-prone and could not reliably support the combination of purchasing, warehouse management, sales, and dealer network operations on a shared data foundation. International growth and a Polish production location added further complexity to an already varied process landscape.

Solution

Nuclos ERP connects purchasing, warehouse management, and sales in one consistent data environment. A dealer web shop uses the same data foundation from quotation through to invoicing, giving dealers and production partners access to consistent information. Interfaces to logistics providers such as UPS automate dispatch processes. Bills of materials with over 1,000 variants per article are managed centrally. Implementation and adaptation required approximately 80 man-days. The system is planned to extend further to CRM, event planning, and production planning at the Polish location.

Result

Staff, dealers, and production partners access consistent data across all touchpoints. Media breaks between sales, logistics, and dispatch are eliminated. License costs are absent; the total cost of ownership for the ERP landscape stays low. The open-source foundation secures the investment for future requirements.
