ARCD Auto- und Reiseclub Deutschland e. V. manages members across Germany and administers contributions, service offerings, and insurance products under one roof. The existing custom-built application had grown into a costly maintenance burden. ARCD evaluated several established CRM platforms as replacements; each was either too rigid to fit association-specific workflows or failed on price and flexibility. What the club needed was not a generic CRM but a platform that could map membership applications, contribution models, dunning, and service processes as an integrated whole.

Solution

Nuclos Open Source ERP replaced the legacy application and now covers the full range of association operations: membership applications, contribution management, dunning, form capture, document storage, and interfaces to insurance partners. Merchandise management and payment processing run on the same platform. Processes are transparently controlled; automated routines reduce day-to-day workload for staff. The rollout followed an agile approach: Novabit delivered defined outcomes and adapted the scope wherever ARCD requirements evolved during implementation.

Result

Maintenance costs fell by 70 percent compared with the previous custom solution. ARCD has ERP software that fits association processes, stays affordable, and carries no per-user license fees. Fast adaptations improve service quality and process efficiency in daily association operations.
